Last week/weekend

Hola!

Okay, so I have slowly been getting busier, but here is an update on what has been going on with me lately.

The weather here has been getting chillier and as we near the holiday season, and as I begin teaching my students about Thanksgiving, I have been missing home more and more. But, as I have mentioned before, I have the BEST family ever, so homesickness was cured, or slightly alleviated, last Tuesday when I received a package from the great state of Texas! My parents and Abuelos sent me a box full of goodies that I have been missing, like Wheat Thins, pita chips, and Milano cookies. AND, they sent me Stove Top stuffing mix to make stuffing on Thanksgiving and packets of chili seasonings so that I can make chili since it is getting colder here.

Last week I also FINALLY received my residency card! I'm officially a resident of Spain!

Other than those bits of exciting news, not too much is going on over on this side of the planet. But, last weekend I did take quite a few pictures while I was out and about in town, so for your viewing pleasure:

If you like what you see...come visit! :D Anywayyy, I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday! Love and miss everyone!

The Halloween update

Hola!

So really, I apologize for my laziness that has developed in updating this blog. The days pass and I just let updating it slip my mind. I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. Mine was fun for sure. I guess it was my first "holiday" away from home, but not to worry friends and fam! My dear friend Margaret Mansour made sure I was prepared for my being away from home for the holidays with this wonderfully thoughtful Halloween card :)

Also, my sweet grandparents, better known to most as Abuela and Abuelo, have been making sure that I don't forget about Texas by sending me postcards from the best state in the USA (objectively speaking, of course). Yesterday I received post card number 3.

I can honestly say I am so fortunate to have such wonderful friends and such a wonderful family. It is all of YOU that make me miss home.

But back to Halloween. It was fun! My friends and I here had a Halloween party. Hanna and Cara hosted it at their house and I brought a dessert. A night for the books, for sure. As promised, pictures from that night:

Well, I am going to try to be better about updating my blog again. We'll see how it goes. In the meantime, have a good Friday errbody!

XOXOXO
